About Us

Who We Are

We're a formally registered association of alumni members from Vijaya Institutions, which include Vijaya English Primary School, Vijaya Kannada Higher Primary and Nursery School, Vijaya High School, Vijaya Composite PU College, and VEIT Degree College. The association, VEIT Alumni Association, was established as a public charitable trust on July 25, 2022 in Bangalore, India.

The association has a Permanent Account Number (PAN) issued by Government of India. Our association is run by a governing committee, a management committee, and a team of volunteers. Our Chartered Accountant (CA) is Mukunda Shiva & Associates in Bangalore, and they help us with the association's statutory compliance, accounting, and taxation.

What We Do

Here's what we intend to do through the VEIT Alumni Association:

• Provide opportunities for social, cultural, intellectual, educational, spiritual and economic development of Vijaya institutions' students.

• Keep a roster of all Alumni of VEIT (schools and colleges) and their pertinent data and interact with the alumni via various means of communication.

• Bring together all the old students and the faculty of VEIT to share their experiences with one another. Promote a sustained sense of belonging to VEIT among the Alumni by being in regular contact with them.

• Utilize the rich experiences of old students of VEIT for the benefit and progress of VEIT’s current students.

• Provide guidance to VEIT’s current students in their endeavor for employment, entrepreneurship, and higher studies.

• Promote VEIT campus placements through the old students working in reputed industries in India and abroad.

• Get valuable advice from the Alumni on the overall development of VEIT.

• Organize seminars, workshops, contests, and industry visits for the benefit of VEIT’s current students and teachers.

• Organize cultural and social welfare programs to benefit VEIT students.

• Provide financial assistance to deserving alumni members pursuing higher education or professional development programs, based on merit and means.

• Arrange donations to VEIT’s poor students by way of cash or kind for their education purposes.

• Maintain libraries, reading rooms, lecture halls, training centers etc. in VEIT useful to the members of the association.

• Develop updated computer labs with infrastructure to scale up to current technical requirements.

• Create and maintain a database of employment information that helps the alumni members land suitable jobs.

• Create and maintain an alumni-focused website, publish periodical magazines or bulletins with valuable information useful to the alumni members and students.

• Involve the alumni members in the overall development of VEIT and the Society.

• Encourage, foster and promote close relations among the alumni themselves.

• Provide a forum for the Alumni for exchange of ideas on academic, cultural and social issues of the day by organizing and coordinating reunion activities of the Alumni.

• Let the alumni acknowledge their gratitude to VEIT.

The VEIT Alumni Association intends to achieve these goals by organizing a series of physical and virtual events and reunions; through communications, by providing a range of discounts and services for alumni; and by supporting VEIT student scholarships and other fund-raising initiatives.
